One of the best songs of 2008. The vids pretty plain, but it fits the song.

Young Buck- Laugh Now, Cry Later

Young Buck- Laugh Now, Cry Later

Young Buck is back in the booth once again speaking on the whole 50 Cent/G-Unit situation. I really hope he stops talking about it and he gets back to writting that reality rap again. I hope this is a wake up call for Buck! Get money outta your mouth and put out quality music like you did before you dropped Buck The World! This track goes hard though! If he keeps putting out tracks like this he's gonna rebound off this all this drama and finally make a name for himself.

Album Watch - Day 26 - Nas: (Untitled)

The name of Nas' next album is unknown, but what I do know is, the king is back. I consider Nas to be THE greatest rapper out right now and of all time. But I gotta be honest, I'm pretty skeptical about his latest album. There's been so many songs leaked from the CD already. Some are definitely gonna be on the album, but some aren't guaranteed.

We got "Hero", which is a DOPE ass track. Produced by Polow Da Don, this track is gonna be crazy when it's finally released with a video. It's by Nas' most mainstream single to date. Another track that was already released too is "Be A Nigger Too", which is pretty good and album worthy. The other two tracks which were released are "The Slave and The Master" and "Fried Chicken". And I am definitely not feeling these tracks. Not to say that they are bad or anything, but I just don't think they are up to par with Nas quality. I'm just hoping some of these "confirmed" tracks aren't actually on the CD.

Here's the rumoured track listing for the album.

1) America's Top Brothel
2) Be A Nigger Too
3) Hero
4) Fried Chicken
5) I Don't Wanna Be Right
6) The Slave and The Master
7) Project Roach
8) Sly Fox
9) The Fear
10) This is Not America
11) Y'all My Niggers
12) Untitled (ft Game and Chris Brown)

Apparently Rick Ross, Chris Brown, The Game, Busta Rhymes and a few others are expected to be featured on the album. I swear, if Rick Ross and Khaled are actually on the album, ima be pissed.

For links to all the leaked Nas songs, check out our recent Nas posts here

Oh and Nas, you better put "Esco, Let's Go" on the album. Haha. Anyways, look out for Nas's album this fall.

The Game is making some moves right now! L.A.X. is looking to be a sick album! For some reason I can see Game asking Young Buck to remix this track! Young Buck and Allstar is pushing that Starbuck group they just made. Cashville's gonna do it big real soon and Termanology comes hard on this new track, speaking on recent events going on in Hip Hop. We need more tracks like this!

Album Watch - Day 25 - Young Bloodz: Bad Influence

The Bloodz have been doing it big for Atlanta since 1999, and they've been steadily bringing out big songs like "Damn" and "Presidential" over the years. To be honest, I've never really fully out checked out their albums but I'm planning on doing it soon. They've been at work for a long time for their upcoming album, "Bad Influence" so it should be a banger.

Look out for "Bad Influence" this summer.

The Game: Man Vs Machine Interview (HipHopDX)

The game don't wait, at least that's what Warren G once said. However, The Game says that Hip Hop may have to wait on him to hear more after three largely-publicized, arguably classic albums. The third in the trilogy, L.A.X., is the topic at an early afternoon conversation in a Geffen Records corner office in New York City.

Although it seems it's impossible to get The Game to not be controversial, the first Compton rapper since his mentor to further the city's legacy seems to be about bigger issues than feuds, bravado and half-stepping rumors of retirement. Whether his promises are to be believed or not, the rapper who has been one of the few platinum superstars to still serve time, demonstrates his love of Hip Hop history, and use his underdog status to do what EPMD, Too Short, Master P and Jay-Z did before him - threaten to hang it up if we don't wake up.

HipHopDX: One of my favorite singles of the year is “Game's Pain" . I think it might be the first time Kool Herc’s name, or maybe even Red Alert have been mentioned in a mainstream rap single, ever. You even have a line about that with Big Daddy Kane. I know early in your career, critics including myself joked around with your name-dropping. Do you feel at this point in your career that you’re actually educating these kids?

The Game: Yeah, I definitely think that. I think that I’m a big enough artist to be vocal enough for kids. What I did with “Game’s Pain” is, I want new school cats to know where it started, where Hip Hop comes from, who did it before us, and who we should pay homage to – and who we shouldn’t. On the second hand, I want to remind these old school cats and these cats existing in Hip Hop now, let’s not forget; let’s not get too far away from the essence of what true Hip Hop is supposed to be.

So every now and then, I’m gonna name-drop some of my favorite artists of my career. I write the lyrics, I can do whatever I want, and I sell millions of records every time, so it’s obviously not too painful to hear about it. And if you think about it, there’s a lot of people that say, “Game name-drops too much,” but then I listen to everybody else, like every other rapper, and they be doing the same thing, but nobody catches it when they do it. My whole career, man, people have always been trying to find shit to render me helpless, but it don’t work, ‘cause I don’t give a fuck, I just rap how I rap, and you can hate it or love it. You can buy my shit or you can leave it on the shelf. I don’t ever try to over-sell myself, my albums, my records; I don’t a give a fuck if you don’t buy my records, don’t buy my shit – buy the one next to it, like who cares? I make music for me and my fans and the people who appreciate me. All the people who judge, criticize and knit-pick like little bitches and shit, just buy somebody else’s shit, that’s it. You ain’t gonna buy Game; leave my shit on the shelf.

Latest Weekly Album Sales

Here are the top selling hip hop albums of the past week.

1) Lil Wayne Tha Carter3 1,005,545
2) Plies Definition of Real 214,532
3) Usher Here I Stand 100,807 (689,332 Total)
4) N.E.R.D. Seeing Sounds 79,968
5) Ashanti Declaration 33,898 (120,386 Total)
6) Bun B II Trill 19,994 (182,541 Total)
7) Rick Ross Trilla 13.804 (577,486 Total)

Honestly, I did not think Lil Wayne would sell 1 million copies in a week. The fact that he outsold both Kanye West and 50 Cent is ridiculous. Then again, not really, considering how many non-rap fans like this guy. But you gotta give him props, he's probably recorded like 1000 tracks in the past year.

I'm honestly laughing at this list right now just because of the fact that Plies sold that many records. But it's cool to see Bun B still has it. In today's world of rap, selling 200,000 is good.

The Whole 16 Minute Young Buck & 50 Cent Convo

Ok Buck lied... this had to have been recorded right after 50 gave Buck the boot... or it might of happened right before. Either way there was still more to the conversation. Something must have happened between this conversation and the "Fuck G-Unit" comment. Because im sure Buck didn't suddenly have a change of heart outta thin air...But he lied on the diss track...

50 on the other hand is a complete snake. He knew he had the whole conversation in his favor because he was recording it. He made this whole thing happen. He don't have any love for Buck he knew what he was doing and im sure he's saving the rest of the convo for another time.

50's a bitch, Buck was lying... Is 50 gonna get at Buck? Or is he gonna give him more low blows? All I know is that when this is all said and done it's either Buck comes out clean and ready to move on while the Unit struggles even more or they both end up going down hill. Cause at this point The Unit is gonna fall apart anyway. T.O.S. is probably gonna flop... Only time will tell what happens.

It's sad really I never thought it would come to this. Buck will still be able to defend himself and hold his own against Curtis cuz truth is 50 will probably get at Buck in an interview and not on a track... I wanna hear 50's side to all of this now. Also don't forget to come back later on because we'll have the whole 50 Cent and Young Buck convo (yea all 16 minutes of it) tonight.

50 Cent & Young Buck Conversation... Damn Man...

Alright people, As you may or may not know I am a huge Buck fan. To be straight forward...If there's was no Buck around on the label then I wouldn't listen to G-Unit. To be honest this conversation these 2 men had hurts me for many reasons because Buck was always the one pushing G-Unit, making his own moves and most of all staying loyal to the crew. I don't know if this is some kind of publicity stunt for 50 but I've lost all respect for the man because Buck was man enough to go and have a man to man talk about the situation and how he feels and you had to go and expose this private convo to the world.

Buck knew he messed up and he confessed, he knew what he did wrong and he was willing to fix it up but damn man you can't cut the man some slack? When Banks and Yayo weren't making any money for you it was always Buck making moves. He might have tried to reach out to your enemies to see what is really going on instead of cooking the beef, but he was only trying to make shit better. Buck doesn't wanna beef with anybody he's just trying to fix the situation.

I understand why Buck was confused! 50 wasn't giving him any form of communication so Buck had to say certain shit to get attention. Now when you got certain people from the crew talking down on you when you we're family just a couple months ago, makes it all the more clearer that they don't want you around so you gotta do watchu gotta do. Buck worked the hardest out of them all to make a name for himself and to help promote G-Unit and 50, Yayo and Banks all shat on him at the end of the day.

Buck needs to move on and get back on his grind. His own crew left him in the dirt after all he did for them. He just needs to get off G-unit quick. This whole situation leaves me both proud and mad at Buck and at the same time confused on what I think. Atleast he didn't act all hard on 50 like if this whole thing wasn't bothering him. They know what it is... they need to work out some kind of understanding BUT I just can't see Buck getting back into the group... Yayo did enough damage.

Young Buck Ranting: "Fuck G-Unit"

Buck speaks his mind on the whole G-Unit boot situation and honestly I think Buck shouldn't have said anything about getting no royalty money cause he wouldn't be in this situation right now. But right now at this moment after everything was said and done, Buck getting booted from G-Unit was the best move for him. This whole situation proves to me how bitch ass the rest of the crew is towards Buck after 5 years of loyalty and friendship. When Banks and Yayo weren't putting out material Buck was holding the Unit down. Buck was the reason why I started listening to G-Unit, Buck is the reason I still listen to them. In simpler terms if Buck gets kicked off G-Unit Records then Mr. Curtis Jackson just lost a fan.

Buck, this is coming from a true fan... You made a name for yourself, you have the connections and made the friendships go out there and shock the world my nigga. Your honestly one of the realest rappers out there. Do your thing! Fuck G-Unit... let them beef cause at the end of the day if Banks or Yayo ever got booted from G-Unit no one would want to sign them because they got no real connections outside of Interscope.

Why Fuck G-Unit? Cause I heard that 50 took a shot at T.I. on a track off of T.O.S... more on that soon.

That's the name of DMX's upcoming double album, set to be released August 2008. Before we go into details, let me just say that there's a big chance the album gets delayed because X was recently arrested.

But anyways (haha) in a funny twist, Mr. Bring Your Whole Crew is planning on making one disc a traditional rap album and the other, a Gospel album. Yeah that's right. He mentioned in an interview that the Gospel album would have no curse words at all.

So far, Nas, T-Pain and Seal have been confirmed as guests on the album. Swizz Beatz and Pharell are also definitely on board as well, for production.

Okay. Okay, Ja Rule is pretty bad, or at least has been the last couple of years. But hey, he can make a comeback right? Well that's what he hopes to do with his upcoming album, titled "The Mirror".

So far the most noise he has made came from his first single "Uh Oh". His 2nd single: "Body", is garbage though. It's your typical Ja Rule singing bullshit. If you really want to you can check it out here

Lloyd Banks & Tony Yayo On 106 & Park

I'm surprised with all that G-Unit v.s. Rocsi beef that was going down that they didn't go crazy on her. I did noticed Yayo not giving one bit of eye contact with her and he barely even paid attention to her. Oh yeah 50 wasn't there for some reason resulting in a boring interview. Yayo is supposed to be playing KRS-One in a movie and Young Buck is still missing...but it's all good.

Album Watch - Day 20 - T.I.: Paper Trail

Paper Trail is the name of the highly anticipated, upcoming T.I. album. T.I. , having been delivering in spades over the past years, will probably give us another sick album. He's hard at work on the album right now, as he is on house arrest. So far he has recorded around 70 songs and is still going. He said in a recent interview that he is feeling 16 of his tracks so far.

So far, two tracks have been released, off of the album. "What's Up, What's Happening" and "No Matter What". I'm really feeling "No Matter What". The album is expected to release this Fall.

And that's why he's #1!

oh and...

I don't understand why he did that but Wayne needs to make up his mind... are you a rapper or a signer? Homeboy must've dedicated that to Baby... not the fans!

Album Watch - Day 19 - Lloyd Banks: Gang Green

Let's face it. Lloyd Banks hasn't been in top of his game for a long time now. His shit on Beg For Mercy was hot, his first LP (The Hunger For More) was hot, and his spots on the Get Rich Or Die Tryin Sound Track were sick too. Since then, he released his sophomore album, The Rotten Apple, in 06. It was a disappoint though. It had some good tracks, but most were average and the whole album had a cheap feel to it. But now, Banks is looking to bounce back harder then ever, with this 3rd effort: "Gang Green". In an interview with MTV, Sha Money XL spoke about Lloyd Banks' third album,

"The album he's working on is amazing and he's coming back like Jay-Z after Sunshine. Sometimes you get that one album that don’t connect, but Banks' fans is still with him. He's still touring and doing shows like shit is all the way right. He's coming to beat their heads in — he on some lyrical exercise."

Rumors have been going around that Gang Green will be released as a double disc and may feature a track with Jay-Z and NaS. Producers Black Milk and Nick Speed have announced that they have produced for the album. You can also expect to see production from Sha Money XL, Eminem, 9th Wonder and Havoc.
